Oral presentation

Bayesian nonparametric data analysis on irradiation embrittlement of Japanese RPV steels

Takamizawa, Hisashi; Nishiyama, Yutaka

no journal, ,

This talk will present statistical analysis using the Bayesian nonparametric (BNP) method for Japanese surveillance and materials test reactor irradiation database. The BNP does not require any theoretical or empirical equations for estimating data. Moreover, it can classify the each input data according to statistical similarities of variables such as chemical composition, irradiation conditions and irradiation embrittlement. The relationship between the statistical characteristic of classified data and embrittlement mechanism will be discussed.

Microstructural analysis on reactor pressure vessel steel using the XAFS method

Iwata, Keiko; Takamizawa, Hisashi; Nishiyama, Yutaka; Shimoyama, Iwao; Okamoto, Yoshihiro; Iwase, Akihiro*; Kojima, Hiroshi*; Mayumi, Ren*

no journal, ,

Microstructure analysis on reactor pressure vessel steel was conducted by using X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) method, where local atomic structures and coordination number around selected atoms are obtained. In our presentation, microstructural changes of thermally aged or electron-irradiated samples will be discussed.

Fracture toughness evaluation of neutron-irradiated reactor pressure vessel steels using miniature C(T) specimens

Tobita, Toru; Otsu, Takuyo; Nishiyama, Yutaka

no journal, ,

Fracture toughness of the neutron irradiated reactor pressure vessel steel up to a fluence of 1$$times$$10$$^{20}$$ n/cm$$^{2}$$ was performed using the 4 mm-thick miniature C(T) specimen. We evaluate fracture toughness scatter and a relation between the shifts of fracture toughness and Charpy DBTT.
